When you fly to Kedarnath your journey is cut down to an hour and helicopter lands close to the temple site making the whole journey comfortable and convenient. The 16-kilometer, uphill hike from Gaurikund is the only way to get to the temple. It is not readily accessible by road. To get to the temple, there are pony and porter services available.
